Bell Design Company provided all design, contract administration, and compliance monitoring services during construction for the State Street Urban Renewal Project located in beautiful downtown Hood River, Oregon.

The Challenge & Scope

This $5.4 million 8-block renewal project included the complete reconstruction of all underground utilities, streets, sidewalks, and curbs. Executing such extensive infrastructure work within an active downtown corridor demanded rigorous scheduling and coordination to minimize disruptions to local businesses and vehicular traffic while completely modernizing the streetscape.

The Solution

BDC successfully facilitated extensive coordination with the City of Hood River, the public works department, local businesses, and various utilities. Through integrated engineering and precise project management, we successfully relocated existing overhead utilities to newly engineered underground facilities, delivering a beautiful, functional, and modernized urban environment that supports the city's economic growth.
