The Challenge & Scope

The project required handling the extreme snow loads of the region while maintaining a delicate balance of exposed glulam wood beams and organically integrated outdoor spaces. The home needed to be built to exacting owner specifications to blend seamlessly into the numerous orchards and forests of the local landscape.

The Solution

Bell Design Company engineering staff provided comprehensive civil and structural design services, working directly with the local architect and builder throughout the design and construction phases. The home was successfully finished with concrete patios, custom steel columns and railings manufactured to fit perfectly, and a heavy all-metal roofing system engineered for safety and durability.
